Futuring is always fun. I wonder, though, how many of the things suggested actually have very little instrumental value, but are just technology for technology's sake. At some point we need to start rejecting the use of technology on the basis that it exists, and start using technology to solve problems and increase quality of life and business.

Thanks to all for this great insight pertaning to "social media". I agree that this year will see a sesmic shift in marekting model. As industries are vying for the adoption of web 2.0, this will produce potent result only when implementation will done with proper planning. Right balance of "collaboration and control" of social media is mandatory.
